You are totally adorable and inspiring, Genius Goofball Girl! I’m heading in to a before bed ritual and want to dance and breath it with the crystal bowls. What fun to embrace our many facetted expressions of genius! Love to ALL!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I love this Christina!
I DEFINITELY need to flex my commitment muscles….
Jumpin on board the Genius Train, toot toot!
I know what 30 days of physical muscle training looks like at the end, can’t wait to see what 30 days of “commitment muscle” training looks like in the end! So glad you started this “genius revolution”!!
In gratitude from a fellow “Genius in Training” : )
You guys all warmed a birthday girl’s heart.
Thanks for chiming in!!! I LOVED hearing from you! I look forward to discovering more and more with you. xoxx
Well today I found out that my mother has been hospitalized and will be there for 2-3 months. She lives in a different part of the country and I can’t get to her easily, all my energy has been focused on her today. So this commitment to my Genius has had a tremulous start but boy this is just what I need, I have some personal rituals I already do in the morning, but you have inspired me to create new ones.
I am grateful that you have created this program as I am gonna need it over the coming weeks.
Goddess Blessings to you dear Sister xx
Wow, Elly… I’m so sorry to hear that!!! I will start sending loving prayers to you and your mother immediately. But, oh my goodness… You are flexing those commitment muscles like a champ. You have a lot to teach us!
Wow! Have I been digging deep already! I’m embarrassed though. Day 1 mentioned “your daily ritual”… what if you don’t have one??? Isn’t that sad?? Everyday I feel is slightly different for me lately. I guess I have rituals, but I don’t think I have one that makes me stop and say, or think, things like this to myself.
That stayed with me all day!
But I am excited to stay on this “train” and build my “commitment muscles” because I truly believe that I have let them get flaccid!!!
Thank you for this Christina! It’s all good spending this time and devoting these thoughts to oneself!
MaryRose… I loved hearing about your experiences! And I can’t wait to hear more about everything as you ‘dig deep’. So fun to have you along for the ride!!!
Interestingly enough, Christina, I just “met” you today after you already got going, but at pretty much the same time as you I committed to returning to praying with my children briefly before they go to school. I’ve never been good about doing any sort of ritual because I tire of the same thing after a while, so my challenge is to get what I need in a variety of ways.
As a mother and wife and business owner and full-time worker, I get impatient with things and people easily some days, some days I am sunshine and light. Moody people like me have to keep it all in check and the one place where i can feel the peace in me just about every time is when I am in church focused on God and things and people ouside of me and my daily happenings. We sing and I am filled with hope. I even have a greater appreciation for all the wild yet wonderful ways of my children at that time. While I am typically annoyed by the fact that I have to say the same things to them every day, in that place of quiet (that would NOT be literally. We are ‘Bapticostal’ after all, as we like to call ourselves
) I am way more patient and just want to be near them and hold them.
So I have to bring alllll that with me everywhere and that is what I am still striving to do for al our sakes – get in that mode and stay there. I start by praying with them in the mornings. They always said their own prayers at night but at this moment I think I will end by praying with them together as well. I suspect from there I will get back to that relatively constant state of peace that enables me to be patient and THAT does a lot for opening one’s inner ears to really hear what God is saying to and through you.
Thanks for being a confirmation that while I am refocusing on my business, I must also refocus on my spirit beyond Sundays – one moment at a time.
@Monica… WOW! What a glorious post. Thank you so much for sharing. And wow, what a beautiful ritual you are establishing with your kids. I am in awe… And, yes… I think the spiritual definitely has a place in business! How fun to see what we’ll discover… And, Woman… That phrase ‘Beyond Sunday’ is FANTASTIC. I just think there might be a whole movement there.
